GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has expressed hope that the COVID-19 situation in Assam will become stable by June 10.

“The number of incoming people is coming down. I hope we will get a stable condition within June 10,” Dr. Sarma said at Jorhat on Saturday.

He urged everyone to strictly follow the quarantine norms—both home and institutional. Sarma appealed the citizens to ensure quarantine for the incoming people.

“There is no alternative except the awareness of the people. So I request everyone to remain alert and inform the government if anyone skips quarantine,” added Dr. Sarma.
