GUWAHATI: “15 September will be peak for Assam in terms of COVID-19 cases,” said Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma.
Speaking to News Live Chief Managing Editor Syed Zarir Hussain on his show ‘Prekhayapat’, Dr. Sarma said, “The estimate has been made according to the mathematical models of the experts.”
Dr. Sarma stated that the number of cases in Assam will continue to rise throughout August and it may reach its peak on September 15.
“I believe the number of cases will come down after September 15,” Sarma remarked.
He mentioned that COVID-19 cases have been doubling in Assam in every 12 days.
