GUWAHATI: Twelve Police personnel of Hatigaon Police Station in Guwahati have been quarantined after a detainee had tested COVID-19 positive. The detainee has been identified as Gagan Rajbongshi. He was arrested in connection with a cylinder theft incident in the city. The detainee was found COVID-19 positive on June 8.
Meanwhile, authorities have sanitized the Hatigaon Police Station and the 12 police personnel who came in contact with the detainee are kept in quarantine at Hotel Lily in Guwahati.
Earlier, a Sub-Inspector (SI) from Panbazar PS tested positive for COVID-19. He was quarantined at a hotel in the city for the last five days and the results came positive on Friday evening.
