Coronavirus: Sanitisation drives in various parts of Assam

GUWAHATI: After Assam came into lockdown at 6 PM on March 24, the administration carried out sanitisation drives in various parts of the state as a preventive measure against Coronaviru. The Health Department along with Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC), Fire and Emergency Services carried out sanitisation drives at Beltola, Beltola Survey, Janta Bhawan, Jayanagar and many other public places of Guwahati on Tuesday.

Disinfection drives were carried out in Nalbari and Mukalmua also under the monitoring of deputy commissioner Bharat Bhusahn Dev Choudhury. The administration also undertook disinfection drives at Morigaon and Dhubri town.

As the streets wore a deserted look, the authorities undertook the sterilisation process in the urban areas of the state. According to sources, the disinfection process would continue in the coming days.
