GUWAHATI: As a preventive measure against Coronavirus outbreak, Assam’s Health Department along with Guwahati Municipal Corporation (GMC) and State Fire and Emergency Services Department took out sterilisation drives in different parts of the city.
The drives were carried out right after the city came under lockdown at 6 PM today.
The disinfection drives were done at Bhabendranath Saikia Road (Beltola-Basistha Road), Dispur, Sixmile, Jayanagar etc.
“We have done the disinfection process where there is a higher public gathering. We will do it in other areas of Guwahati also to keep the public safe,” said an official of state health department.
