Coronavirus: Assam Govt. launches massive awareness drives


GUWAHATI: As the Coronavirus fear has hit Assam along with the rest of the country, the Assam government has launched massive awareness drives across the state.

Effective Information, Education and Communication (IEC) materials are being used to spread awareness among the people about Coronavirus. The state health department has been conducting awareness meetings at schools, hospitals, public places, bus stops and train stations. Street plays have alsobeen staged at different parts of Assam.

Meanwhile, Assam state minister for health and family welfare Pijush Hazarika has said today that though no positive case of Coronavirus has been detected in Assam, the government has taken all the necessary steps to deal with the situation.
