Coronavirus: Actress Prastuti Porasor appeals Govt. not to shut mobile theatres


GUWAHATI: After the Assam government decided to shut down all the educational institutes, cinema halls, swimming pools and gyms till March 29, popular Assamese actress Prastuti  Porasor has appealed to the government not to stop the shows of mobile theatres despite growing fears over Coronavirus in Assam .

“Around 150 people depend on a mobile theatre for livelihood. They will starve if the mobile theatres are closed,” said Prastuti who is also a producer of a mobile theatre.

“I request the government to allow the mobile theatres to continue with their shows. There is only one and half month left to end our season,” she added.

Prastuti Porasor also stated that producers and organising committees of mobile theatres would take all the precautionary measures to prevent the spread of Coronavirus.
