Guwahati: The Indian National Congress will not be able to form a government in Assam for the next 100 years if it continues its partnership with AIUDF. This was stated by Raijor Dal leader, Akhil Gogoi.
Talking to media in Guwahati, Gogoi said, “We can’t be in the Mahajot till AIUDF is in the alliance because we consider AIUDF as a communal party like BJP and RSS. If BJP and RSS are present in Assam then AIUDF will also be in the state and vice versa. And after this statement of mine if still, Congress chooses to be with AIUDF we will have a discussion before the by-elections with them for pitching candidates in Mariani, Majuli and Thowra from Congress and Raijor Dal.”
Gogoi also said, ” And if after the discussion the Congress party won’t agree with us then nobody can save them from losing. It will be a kind of suicide for the Congress party. They lost the 2021 assembly election only because of their alliance with AIUDF. And if they continue with their alliance with AIUDF, Congress will not be able to form a government in Assam for the next 100 years.”
