Congress-AIUDF combine to get 15-17 seats in Assam: Bhabesh Kalita


GUWAHATI: Assam minister of state (Independent charge) for the irrigation department, Bhabesh Kalita claimed that Congress and All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) in combine will get 15-17 seats in the upcoming assembly elections.

“Congress has been vanished. They will get seats in single digit. Congress-AIUDF combine will win 15-17 sets,” Kalita said at Dimu in Rangia.

The minister also criticised newly-floated Assam Jatiya Parishad (AJP).

Reacting to AJP’s promise to provide employment to the youth in Assam, Kalita said, “Let them first form the government.”

He also reiterated Bharatiya Janata Party’s commitment for the peace and progress of the state.

“We are committed to the development. We don’t believe in any communal politics,” Kalita said.
