Amid apprehensions regarding the publication of the second and final NRC draft on June 30, officials today confirmed publication of the part draft will be delayed.
Prateek Hajela, State Coordinator of the NRC update process, said they have lost around 8-10 working days following the devastating floods that inundated many Sewa Kendras.
“We lost some crucial working hours due to the floods. Under the circumstances, it won’t be possible to publish the second draft on June 30,” Hajela told News Live, and added: “We have moved the Supreme Court seeking a fresh date for publication of the final draft and the matter will come up during the hearing on July 2”.
