Conference of SPs to begin in Duliajan tomorrow, CM Sarma to attend

Guwahati:  Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma will attend the 2nd 2-day conference of  Superintendent of Police’s (SPs), which will start in Duliajan in Assam’s Dibrugarh district tomorrow (Januray 3)

SPs, additional SPs and other top Assam Police officials from all the districts of Assam will attend the conference which is being organized for the second time in eastern Assam’s Duliajan in Dibrugarh district.

The first such conference (which is an initiative of the current government) was held at Kaziranga in June of last year.

The Assam Chief Minister will be the Chief guest during the inaugural ceremony of th

e conference which will take place on Monday morning.

Union home secretary and the GOC of the army’s Kohima based 3 Corps is also likely to attend the conference.

Apart from the officers two union ministers, Sarbananda Sonowal and Rameswar Teli, will also be present in the meeting.
