Come soon, my son: Requests NDFB(S) leader B Bidai’s Mother

GUWAHATI:”My son should come soon. I want to see him. It has been many years since he has not come,” said mother of dreaded National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB-S) leader B Bidai who did not return with the group under B Saoraigwra to participate in the peace process.The nonagenarian Thunle Goyari is waiting desperately for her son at her home at Oxiguri under Chirang district.

Welcoming the decision of B Saoraigwra-led faction of the National Democratic Front of Bodoland (NDFB-S) to sign the truce with the government, one of the elder brothers of Bidai said, “Our brother should also come and take part in the talks.”

He also expressed hope that centre along with state government and Bodoland Territorial Council would take necessary steps to ensure participation of B Bidai in the peace process.

“Bidai should come so that he can take care of his old mother,” said a relative of the family.

It needs to be mentioned that B Bidai has been chargesheeted in the horrific Oct 30 2008 serial bombings in Assam that killed nearly a hundred people besides injuring and maiming 800 others.

He also masterminded the massacre of around 80 people mostly belonging to the Adivasi community in 2014 in Assam.

The dreaded militant allegedly ordered killing of a school girl Priya Basumatary in-front of her parents in Chirang on the suspicion of being a police informer.
