GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Friday evening visited ongoing 33rd Guwahati Book Fair at Assam Engineering Institute playground at Chandmari in the city. CM Sonowal visited a few stalls and also bought books. The chief minister also interacted with the book lovers who thronged the book fair.
Sonowal expressed his happiness witnessing enormous response of the readers to the book fair.
“Relived memories from my youth as I interacted with booklovers at the 33rd Guwahati Book Fair this evening. Books have the power to take us to new worlds and different times. I urge everyone to inculcate the habit of reading and transform your lives,” he tweeted.
The chief minister was accompanied by his media advisor Hrishikesh Goswami.
