Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal on saturday praised Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for single-handedly managing the Covid-19 pandemic situation in the state.
In his speech on the third day of the three-day State Assembly session, CM Sonowal praised the health department’s efforts in handling the COVID-19 pandemic situation in the state and also thanked Health Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma for all his tireless work that he is doing for the people of Assam.
“The way our health department has handled the situation during the pandemic is commendable. And I believe our health department is ready to face any kind of challenges in the future. I want to thank Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, Pijush Hazarika and everyone who has been with the people of Assam during all the tough times of the pandemic,” said CM Sonowal.
Commenting on the SI scam, the Chief Minister said that the examination was canceled as soon as it was found that the question paper had been leaked with and 36 accused of the scam were arrested in less than 90 days. He also reiterated that BJP will once again come into power.
