CM Sonowal lays foundation stone of Koch Rajbongshi museum in Bongaigaon

GUWAHATI: To preserve the rich culture and heritage of Assam’s Koch Rajbongshi community, chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal laid foundation stone of a museum in lower Assam’s Bongaigaon town on Friday.

Sonowal was accompanied by ministers Pijush Hazarika, Phani Bhusan Choudhury and Bongaigaon deputy commissioner Dr. MS Lakshmi Priya.

Speaking on the occasion, Sonowal expressed hope that the museum would play a pivotal role in preserving the cultural resources and heritage of the Koch Rajbongshis.

He also laid the foundation stone of various other developmental projects for the Bongaigaon town. Among the developmental projects, a clock tower will be constructed at the cost of Rs. 25 lakh.
