CM Sonowal inaugurates Sarat Chandra Singha park at Chapar

GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Monday inaugurated the former chief minister Sarat Chandra Sinha memorial park, an auditorium and the renovated house ‘Kopot Neer’ of the leader at Chapar in Dhubri district.

All the construction works in memory of the late chief minister have been done at the cost of Rs. 1 crore under CM’s Untied Fund 2016-17.

CM Sonowal also unveiled the statue of Sinha at Ratnapith College at Bahalpur. Speaking on the occasion, the CM urged the youth to study hard and take inspiration from the great leader.

Sonowal also expressed belief that the newly renovated house of the former chief minister will go a long way in boosting tourism in the region.
