GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Sarbananda Sonowal on Tuesday inaugurated the newly constructed building of Lumding Police Station under Hojai district in the presence of Assam director general of police (DGP) Bhaskar Jyoti Mahanta and Lumding MLA Sibu Mishra.
The building has been constructed under the Assam government’s Mission of Overall Improvement of Thana for Responsive Image (MOITRI).
In his speech, the chief minister highlighted the role of Assam Police in maintaining law and order along with fighting against COVID-19 pandemic.
He also emphasised the need to strengthen the police-public relationship.
