CM Sarma’s 10 appeals to the people of Assam

Guwahati: On the occasion of the 75th Independence Day of the nation, Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma while hoisting the National Flag at the Veterinary College Ground, Khanapara made the following appeals to the people of state.

1. On the birth anniversaries of Srimanta Sankardev, Madhavdev, Haridev, people of Assam, particularly government employees instead of observing holidays, should lend at least one hour or more services in acknowledgement to the immense devotion that people of Assam have towards the Gurujonas.
2. To give time to the parents and spend time with them, government employees to get seven days of leave. During these seven days the employees should spend time with their parents exclusively including taking them to religious pilgrimage.
3. On the occasion of 75 years of Independence, people should select at least three noble works/ three noble targets to be delivered by them.
4. 75 saplings each in all offices, schools, colleges and in the premises of the other places of public convergence on the occasion of 75th Independence Day.
5. Before and after every programme Jatiya Sangeet and Rashtra Gan to be sung.
6. Single use polythene to be discarded.
7. Stop marriage of girls before 21 years and importance of girl education should be given.
8. Devote an extra hour to office.
9. Work or raise your voice against human trafficking and drugs and cattle smuggling.
10. Work for the development of schools in which an individual studied.
