During his visit, CM Sarma invited the president to Assam to visit Kaziranga National Park.

Kaziranga National Park, a UNESCO world heritage site, is inhabited by the world’s largest population of one-horned rhinoceroses, as well as many mammals, including tigers, elephants, panthers and bears, and thousands of birds.

Taking to Twitter, CM Sarma wrote, “Today I called on Mahamahim Rashtrapati Sri Ramnath Kovind ji at President House. I am extremely proud to have received Hon President’s blessings & guidance.

I extended an invitation to him to kindly grace us with his visit to Assam and see Kaziranga.”
