CM Himanta Biswa Sarma visits Dr Seuj Senapati at GMCH

GUWAHATI: Assam chief minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma on Saturday morning visited Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) to enquire about the health of Seuj Kumar Senapati, the doctor who was injured in a mob attack at COVID care centre in Hojai.

CM Sarma assured the family members of the doctor that he would be allowed to serve in a health Institute of his choice, when he resumes services.

“..assured his family that Dr Senapati would be allowed to serve in a health Institute of his choice, when he resumes services,” Sarma stated in a tweet.

Sarma also reiterated Assam government’s zero tolerance policy against incidents of attack on doctors and health workers.
