CM Himanta Biswa Sarma calls on PM Modi in New Delhi, thanks him for new urea plant in Namrup

GUWAHATI, Feb 3: Assam Chief Minister Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma today called on Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi and thanked him for the Centre’s decision to approve the new urea plant in Namrup which, Chief Minister Sarma said, will be a “game-changer in the State’s developmental journey”.

Chief Minister Sarma also stated that Prime Minister Modi offered him “valuable guidance” on the upcoming two-day Advantage Assam 2.0 Investment and Infrastructure Summit Guwahati will host on February 24 & 25.

CM Dr Sarma further said PM also offered him guidance on the Mega Jhumoir performance which will be staged before Prime Minister Modi and the invited guests, industry captains and other delegates.

Besides calling on Prime Minister Modi, Chief Minister Sarma also met Union Communications & DoNER Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia, Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, Petroleum Minister Hardeep Singh Puri and Commerce & Industry Minister Piyush Goyal during his visit to the national capital.

Chief Minister Dr Sarma had on Sunday addressed four rallies in Delhi as he took on the Aam Aadmi Party and its chief and former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal while asking the people of Delhi to vote BJP to power.
