GUWAHATI: Assam health, finance and education minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma has indicated that classes for 10 and 12 standards are likely to resume from June 15. Talking to media persons in Guwahati on Tuesday Dr. Sarma said that the government has been trying to reopen the educational institutes for class 10 and 12 students as soon as possible.

“We will try to open the schools for class 10 and 12 at least from June 15. We are waiting for the directives from the Government of India.”

Dr. Sarma said that a blue-print for the students of class 10 and 12 has been prepared and will be declared formally soon.

“For example a student from Cotton University is at Nagaon. He can attend the classes at nearby Nagaon College. He doesn’t need to come to Cotton for classes,” said minister Sarma.
