GUWAHATI, Jan 22: English Champions Manchester City gave away a 2-0 lead, eventually losing 4-2 to PSG, while Real Madrid routed Salzburg 5-1 to storm into the next round of the tournament.
While Jack Grealish and Erling Halland scored for City in the 50th and 53rd minute respectively, PSG bounced back as Dembele, Barcola, Joao Neves and Goncalo Ramos netted for the French giants to seal a memorable victory.
Manchester City, currently on 25th, can still make it to the next round if they beat Club Brugge in their final group game.
Elsewhere in Spain, braces from Rodrygo and Vinicius Junior and a fifth from Kylian Mbappe helped Real Madrid decimate Salzburg 5-1 at home.
The final round of group matches will take place next Wednesday and all 36 teams will be in action simultaneously.
While the top-eight teams will advance directly to the round of 16, the teams from ninth to 24th will enter the knockout playoffs.
