Guwahati: The Union government has announced a “reserved quota” in the medical colleges of Jammu and Kashmir for students orphaned by terrorism and victims of terror attacks.
The reservation scheme is applicable for MBBS and BDS courses, as per a notification by J&K’s Board of Professional Entrance Examination.
According to the J&K BOPEE notice, applicants will be chosen based on their performance in the National Eligibility-cum-Entrance Test (NEET)-2022, which will be administered by the National Testing Agency.
The decision has been taken in a bid to honour those who laid down their life for their country or have been brutally killed by terrorists.
