GUWAHATI: The central government has ordered the CBI to investigate the mysterious death of Rosy Sangma and Samuel Sangma.
The case relates to the death of Rosy Sangma in a hospital in Gurgaon on June 24 after she had complained a medical condition.
Later, Samuel Sangma, a relative of Rosy Sangma, suspecting medical negligence, had an altercation with doctors and staff of the hospital.
On June 25, the Delhi Police received information regarding the death of Samuel Sangma in New Delhi. The family of the deceased has alleged that Rosy Sangma had died due to negligence on part of the hospital.
They also attributed some alleged foul play in the death of Samuel Sangma by the hospital personnel.
It is to be mentioned that Member of Parliament from Tura, Meghalaya, Agatha Sangma had written to the Union Ministry regarding a CBI probe in the mysterious death case, and the same was granted on July 13.
The death case:
Rosy Sangma suddenly began to experience intense pain in her hands and feet and excessive bleeding on June 23. Samuel, who used to live with her in a rented flat in the Bijwasan area of Delhi, admitted her in a private hospital in the area. Later on June 24, her condition deteriorated and she was shifted to Alpha Hospital in Gurugram.
According to Samuel, her condition began to improve in the new hospital and she had ice cream in the presence of the doctors, and shortly after that her condition began to deteriorate and she passed away, as per reports.
The reports further stated that, following the death of Rosy, Samuel had an altercation with the hospital authorities and was thrown out. Miffed, he uploaded a video seeking justice for his aunt,.
However, on June 25, he was also found dead in a hotel room.
