GUWAHATI, Oct 18: The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) has begun its investigation into 41 trading scam cases, including the alleged fraudulent activities in which Sumi Borah and Bishal Phukan are accused.
Another case which the CBI is investing is the DB Stocks case in which the founder Dipankar Barman, who allegedly took crores of rupees from gullible investors promising them manifold returns, is the main accused.
Dipankar Barma, it may be mentioned, is still on the run while police have arrested his fiancée and his parents.
Separate teams are camping in Guwahati and Dibrugarh where they began investigations from today.
The Assam Government had earlier handed over probe into these 41 cases to the CBI.
