GUWAHATI: Candidates across the state expressed anger after the written test for the recruitment of sub-inspector (SI) in Assam Police had been cancelled following a leakage of question papers on social media. The anomalies have aggrieved the candidates and demanded the government to take appropriate action.

“We are really disappointed. After much wait, the recruitment drive started. We have lost hope after getting the news of cancellation of the test,” said Ujjwal Ray, a candidate from Bongaigaon.
The State Level Police Recruitment Board (SLPRB) conducted the written test in all the district headquarters of the state today.
