GUWAHATI, Nov 19: The Border Security Force, besides its unwavering commitment to protecting the borders of the nation, is also committed to the uplift of people living along the border areas.
As part of its community development programme, a pre-recruitment awareness programme was organized by the 157 Bn BSF under BSF Guwahati Frontier at Panchayat Samiti Ground in front of Sitalkuchi College in Cooch Behar (West Bengal) on Sunday.
The rally was held for job aspirants living in the Indo-Bangladesh border areas.
The free awareness programme included physical scanning and a day-long training schedule for physical fitness for recruitment in CAPF, Army and police for youths of border areas.
During the programme, pre-recruitment events like running, physical measurement of young aspirants, awareness for physical training as well as written competitive examination coaching for recruitment in Central Armed Forces, Indian Armed Forces and State Police was imparted to youths by qualified instructors of the force.
The objective of the programme, the BSF stated, was to motivate local youths into join the Armed Forces, Central Armed Forces and State Police and serve the nation with pride.
