GUWAHATI: Border Security Force (BSF) of Guwahati Frontier seized counterfeit notes worth Rs. 30,000 from one Jahirul Islam (30) on Thursday near the bordering area of Boreralga, South Salmara, Assam.
On Thursday evening, at around 09:30 PM, troops of BOP Boreralga of 06 Bn BSF along with Kharuabandha Police carried out a joint search operation at Jahirul Islam’s residence in Kaliralga, Sishumarachar, South Salmara and recovered suspected FICN(Fake Indian Currency Notes) amounting to Rs. 30,000 from his possession.
The accused Jahirul Islam has been handed over to Kharuabandha Police Station for questioning.
