The youth injured in the road mishap at Chhaygaon has been rushed to GMCH in a critical condition
A tragic road mishap at Chhaygaon in Assam’s Kamrup district killed two youths while another one was injured after their two-wheeler was rammed on its rear by a speeding vehicle today morning.
The trio was travelling in their two-wheeler (AS-25-4980) when they were knocked by the speeding vehicle from behind which then fled from the scene after the mishap.
The deceased youths have been identified as Dip Das (20) and Mirajul Ali (21).
The third youth injured in the accident has been identified as Chiranjit Das who has been rushed to Gauhati Medical College Hospital (GMCH) in a critical condition, people of the area where the accident took place told News Live.
While Dip Das hailed from Bhathipara village of Chhaygaon, Mirajul hailed from Majpara village.
Efforts are on to identify the vehicle involved in the accident and arrest its driver.
The accident has soured Bihu festivities in Chhaygaon with people mourning the tragic deaths of the two youths in the accident while also praying for the speedy recovery of Chiranjit Das.
