GUWAHATI: Assam’s one more COVID-19 patient has been discharged from the hospital taking the tally of cured patients to 19. The patient named Babul Ali from Lakhimpur district has been discharged from Telahi Model Hospital, Basagaon in Lakhimpur after his three successive tests came out as negative. Health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma monitored the discharge at the hospital.
“Babu Ali, a #COVID19 patient, has been discharged today from Telahi Model Hospital, Basagaon, Lakhimpur. His 3 successive tests were negative. Cured patients -19 Request him and family members to ensure compliance of home quarantine guidelines,” tweeted minister Sarma.
With this the number of active patients in the state has come down to 14. Earlier in the morning, one more COVID-19 patient was discharged from Sonapur CIVIL Hospital. As of now, 19 patients have been discharged from various hospitals of Assam. On the other hand, one COVID-19 patient from Hailakandi district died at Silchar Medical College and Hospital on April 10.
