GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma announced nine more COVID-19 positive cases in the State. All the nine cases are from Barpeta in lower Assam. With the new cases, the total count of COVID-19 positive cases in Assam has mounted to 548. There are 479 active cases in the State. Assam has reported 4 deaths and discharged 62 patients after their recovery from COVID-19. On the other hand, 3 patients had migrated to other States.
Health minister Dr. Sarma stated in a Tweet that swabs for testing had been taken before the people were sent for quarantine.
