GUWAHATI: Five more COVID-19 patients have succumbed to the virus on Wednesday. Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma stated in a tweet that Safikul Rahman (60) of Hedayetpur in Guwahati, Ramani Majumdar (60) of Patacharkuchi, Barpeta, Utpal Kumar Chaliha (75) of Kahilipara, Hariprasad Mandal (68) of Lalganesh, Guwahati had died due to COVID-19 at Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) COVID ICU between 2 AM to 5 AM.
On the other hand, a 30-year-old COVID-19 patient reportedly died at Tezpur Medical College and Hospital (TMCH).
