GUWAHATI: Criminal Investigation Department (CID) summoned two senior officials of Assam Police in Sub-Inspector (SI) recruitment scam case. CID summoned Superintendent of Police (SP)-ranked officer Kumar Sanjit Krishna and Additiional Superintendent of Police (ASP) Prasanta Kumar Dutta in the infamous case which has rocked the state.
Sanjit Krishna was serving as the SP of Karimganj district. On Sunday, the state transferred Krishna from Karimganj and gave charge as SP of FRRO of Barpeta.
Earlier another former top cop Prasanta Kumar Dutta was arrested for his involvement in the question paper leak case. Retired deputy inspector general (DIG) PK Dutta is one of the prime accused in the case. Dutta was arrested from Indo-Nepal border and is currently under CID custody.
