Guwahati: One more COVID-19 patients have succumbed to the infection in Assam taking the number of fatalities to 37 in the state.
Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted, ” Very sad to share that Smt Shanta Asharjee (40),a #COVID patient with history of pneumonia,type-2 diabetes, Hypothyroidism and admitted at GMCH, succumbed to her infection today. My deepest condolences. Death Audit Board to ascertain whether underlying cause of death is COVID19″.
