GUWAHATI: Another person tested COVID19 positive in western Assam’s Dhubri on Thursday. With this the total number of COVID19 positive cases in Assam has reached 29. The person reportedly came into contact with a COVID19 patient who had attended Tablighi jamaat at Nizamuddin Markaz in Delhi.
Taking to Twitter Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma wrote, “A person from Dhubri, who was in contact with a positive patient (with Markaz linkage) from the same district, has been confirmed as #COVID19 positive. The total number of #Covid patients in #Assam now stands at 29.”

So far, among the total 29 Coronavirus positive cases in Assam, 28 patients are directly or indirectly related to the religious congregation at Nizamuddin Markaz.
