BREAKING: All top NDFB leaders, cadres surrender in Myanmar, will sit in discussion with government

GUWAHATI: The NDFB anti talk faction led by chairman B. Saoraigwra has surrendered en masse before Indian army authorities paving the way for peace talks between the outlawed outfit and the central government.

According to top sources in the Indian Army a large group comprising of 50 NDFB cadres along with their leaders surrendered at a secret place in Myanmar. The NDFB cadres also surrendered a large cache of weapons. With this, there are no armed, active NDFB cadres left in Myanmar or Assam.

The surrendered NDFB cadres are being brought back to Assam by the Indian Army through two routes of Nagaland and Manipur. Top NDFB leaders B. Saoraigwra and B.R. Ferrenga who have been spearheading the organisation from Myanmar will now sit in discussion with the Indian government said the sources.
