The AGP will put up candidates in three constituencies in Assam as per the seat-sharing agreement reached in a meeting between an AGP delegation and BJP national president Amit Shah in New Delhi.
AGP president Atul Bora announced that the party will contest in Kaliabor, Barpeta and Dhubri Lok Sabha seats while they have also asked the BJP central leadership to leave a fourth seat to the party.
NEDA convener Himanta Biswa Sarma also present in the meeting.
The AGP will also get a Rajya Sabha seat as per the seat-sharing arrangement, Atul Bora stated.
