GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter to announce 198 new COVID-19 positive cases which take the tally to 5586. On Sunday, Assam has reported total 331 COVID-19 cases which is the biggest single-day spike so far. While, there are 2170 active cases, total 3404 patients have been discharged from hospitals after their recovery. The number of recovered patients has already surpassed the active number.
