GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma tweeted to announce 18 more new COVID-19 cases in the State. The new cases also include the first air carrier who is a resident of Kamrup (Metro) district. The person travelled from Ahmedabad to Guwahati. Among the other cases 14 cases are from Golaghat, 2 from Karbi Anglong and one is from Lakhimpur.
With these new cases, the COVID-19 count in Assam has jumped to 704. There are 635 active cases in the State with 62 discharges and 4 deaths. Three patients had migrated to other States.
