On the other hand, the Assam Government has allowed opening of shops in rural areas under non-red zones from today. The government allowed opening of standalone rural shops barring hat and marketplaces. On the other hand, restrictions in red zone districts are still in place. Similarly no rural shops have been allowed within 5 KM from the boundary of red zone districts. The five red zone districts in Assam are Dhubri, Goalpara, Nalbari, Morigaon and Golaghat.
