GUWAHATI: Assam health minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma took to Twitter to announce 13 more COVID-19 positive cases in the state. With these new cases, the total number of positive cases in Assam has reached 170.
Among the 13 new cases 8 patients are from Hojai, 2 from Sonitpur, 1 each from Kamrup (Metro), Kamrup and Nagaon districts.
Currently there are 115 active cases in Assam. while, 48 patients have recovered from COVID-19, the state has reported 4 deaths so far. On the other hand, three patients have migrated from Assam.
On Wednesday, 7 patients including a doctor of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in Guwahati were discharged from hospitals following their recovery from the disease. While Dr. Lithikesh DS was discharged from GMCH, 2 patients from Jorhat Medical College and Hospital (JMCH) and 4 patients from Silchar Medical College and Hospital (SMCH) were released.
