GUWAHATI, May 8: The worst fears of the Police and almost everybody else closely following the infamous domestic abuse of their adopted children by the doctor couple turned out to be true with Assam DGP GP Singh today confirming that both the adopted kids were sexually assaulted.
“The reports of the medical examination conducted on the two adopted children in the Dr Sangeeta Dutta case have established penetrative sexual assault,” the Assam DGP said today.
“Sections under the POCSO Act are being added in both cases and we will take action on the point-by-point report that has been prepared and handed over to us by a multi-specialist team comprising forensic experts, pediatrics, surgeons etc,” GP Singh added.
“We are carrying forward all aspects of the investigation process. The investigation process will be foolproof and we will ensure that under no circumstance will the guilty be allowed to go scott-free,” he added.
