Guwahati: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) candidate Dipayan Chakraborty has claimed victory in the Silchar constituency.
He defeated Congress’ Tamal Kanti Banik.
Chakraborty was a freshly elected candidate for the upcoming Assembly Elections, 2021 set up by BjP. Before that, he was a self-employed businessman.
