Guwahati: Assam BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass who is on a 10-day tour to Barak Valley said that the BJP government is aiming to create an extraordinary Assam with a spirit to work for the people of the state.
While addressing BJP’s state executive meeting in Karimganj, the state president said that the BJP-led government of Assam has been working tirelessly to build a new Assam with new infrastructure.
The meeting in Karimganj was also attended by Assam Chief Minister Sarbananda Sonowal, Minister of State for Food Processing Industries Rameswar Teli and Lok Sabha MP Dilip Saikia.
“Our members have always worked sincerely with a spirit of service to create an extraordinary Assam. I am once again convinced by the efficiency of all the members who are working as a strong team and we will definitely achieve the target of 100+ in Assam,” said BJP President Dass.
There are a total of 15 constituencies in Barak Valley of Assam- Katlicherra, Algapur, Badarpur, Hailakandi, Karimganj South, Karimganj North, Lakhipur, Sonai, Patharkandi, Katigorah, Ratabari, Dholai, Udharbond, Silchar, and Barkhola.
In the 2016 Assam Legislative Assembly Election BJP had won 8 seats from the Barak Valley.
