GUWAHATI: Assam state BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass said that his party would win 7 minority-dominated seats in the upcoming assembly elections. Addressing a press meet in Guwahati, Dass said that BJP would field candidates from minority communities in the 2021 assembly polls.
Dass also expressed his confidence over a clean sweep despite the grand alliance of Congress, AIUDF and left parties. He claimed that unlike incidents of communal violence during the Congress regime, no such incidents have taken place when Sarbananda Sonowal-led government is in power. He also alleged that Congress is doing nothing except misleading the public.
