GUWAHATI: Congress MLA Wazed Ali Choudhury claimed that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will score a ‘Big zero’ in lower Assam in the forthcoming assembly polls.
Talking to News Live, the South Salmara MLA said the grand alliance led by Congress would pose serious challenges to the BJP in lower Assam.
“We will win all the constituencies where minority voters are in majority. I think BJP will score a ‘Big zero’ in these constituencies,” Choudhury said.
The Congress MLA also claimed that debacle of state BJP president Ranjeet Kumar Dass is inevitable from the Sorbhog constituency.
He categorically stated that Congress would not leave its existing seats to its alliance partner AIUDF.
“There may be changes in candidates, but not in seats,” Wazed Ali Choudhury added.
