GUWAHATI: Addressing Vijay Sankalpa Samabesh in Silchar under Cachar district, Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) national president JP Nadda expressed confidence that his party would return to power in Assam with a resounding victory in the upcoming assembly election.
“BJP will return to power in Assam in 2021 assembly poll as current dispensation have ensured all-round development of state in last five years,” said Nadda at Police Parade Ground.
He also claimed that the BJP has been working peacefully for the development of the north-eastern state.

“BJP is working peacefully for development of Assam, after taking into consideration interests of all communities…… It is the responsibility of BJP to safeguard the culture and language of Assam and the party has always given importance to these things,” he said further.
The assembly poll in Assam is likely to be held in April.
The saffron party, which had stormed to power in the state for the first time in 2016, is confident of keeping the throne after putting up an impressive show in recent Bodoland Territorial Council (BTC) and Tiwa Autonomous Council (TAC) polls and also due to perceived feebleness in the ranks of main opposition Congress.
