GUWAHATI: Assam health and finance minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma categorically said that Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) will get 100 seats in the upcoming assembly elections in 2021.
“BJP will get 100 seats. It is clear. Congress may form alliance with AIUDF or any other party. It doesn’t matter,” Sarma said on News Live’s show ‘Prekhyapat’ with chief managing editor Syed Zarir Hussain.
Replying to a question on forthcoming assembly elections, the senior BJP leader said, “The people of Assam have been watching what we are doing in every aspect—be it Corona, flood or for the interests of the region.”
Minister Sarma expressed confidence over a much better performance in state polls than the last Lok Sabha elections.
