BJP will be vanished in Congress Tsunami: Ripun Bora

GUWAHATI: Assam Pradesh Congress Committee (APCC) president Ripun Bora claimed Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) would be vanished in the tsunami of Congress and their partners in the grand alliance for the upcoming assembly elections.

Bora further said that there is no opposition for his party.

“Where is opposition? Opposition parties have been finished. BJP will be vanished in the tsunami of Congress and the grand alliance,” the Congress leader said.

Ripun Bora also claimed that All India United Democratic Front (AIUDF) chief Maulana Badruddin Ajmal is not a communal person.

“Election commission or the constitution has not termed Ajmal as communal. One who loves his own religion and does not hate others is not a communal person,” Bora added.

Meanwhile, Assam cabinet minister and BJP leader Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma reacted sharply to Bora’s remarks.

“Let Ripun Bora’s grandchildren to be named as Badaruddin Ajmal, Giyasuddin Ajmal and Nijamuddin Ajmal,” the minister said.

“Tsunami occurs in the seas, not in rivers. Bangladesh is situated on the banks of sea. So his tsunami will be in Bangladesh,” Sarma took on the APCC president.
